Thank you Multimedia Group – Oswald Azumah

I have left The Multimedia Group after a three year spell with the media giant.

I hate clichés but it’s all I have now so first off, I want to thank God Almighty for giving me the chance to work there. In 2017, I prayed to Him for the opportunity and He came through for me.

I also want to thank the boss himself, Elvis Kwashie, for accepting me there; my gratitude also goes to Malik Daabu for deeming me worthy after interviewing me, chale, I didn’t even know I was going for interview that day so na I make shi but Nyame nti.

Also, I want to thank Nathan Gadugah, Jerry Mordy, Edwin Appiah, Abubakar Ibrahim and Malik once again for the rigorous training they took me through at Myjoyonline.

All of you that shower accolades on me today for my writing, hear ye, that it wouldn’t have been possible without them. They made a rookie into one fine journalist and writer.
If you doubt their work, just try me.

Also, to one of my mentors, Joseph Ackah-Blay, who advised me on how to get in, you do all.

I learnt a lot in the three years, both for my journalism/writing and for life itself; lessons that would stay with me forever. I have also made some dear friends that I hope would be in my life for as long as I live.

Every good thing, however, must end at some point, so I am putting this out to stop the numerous DMs and calls, I have departed the Group on my own volition.

I hope to collaborate with my former colleagues on my new path anyway, so it’s not goodbye.

As to why I left, it’s a typical Münchhausen trilemma, i.e. I left because I left.

Thank you Multimedia, for letting a backstreet boy from Ho Bankoe live his dream.
